Great Hearts Online Summer School is open to all current and incoming Great Hearts students. All summer courses include daily, live video instruction M-Th, weekly tutoring opportunities, and access to our Great Hearts curriculum using the online learning platform, Canvas.
This course will begin on June 3rd and run through June 30th, during Session 1 (1 Hour) (8:00-9:00). You can view the session schedule HERE. Please note that all times are listed in Arizona Local Time.

Attendance Policy
This course lays the foundation for strong reading and writing skills for scholars completing kindergarten and preparing to enter first grade. Instruction centers on mastery of the Spalding phonograms, with careful attention to letter formation, capitalization, and accurate sound–symbol correspondence. Scholars will learn to decode and blend simple consonant–vowel–consonant (CVC) words and develop fluency with high-frequency sight words. Writing instruction emphasizes correct letter formation, name writing, and copying complete sentences with proper capitalization and punctuation. Through systematic phonics practice, early reading, and guided writing activities, students will build the confidence and skills needed for success in first grade literacy.
