Great Hearts Online Summer School is open to all current and incoming Great Hearts students. All summer courses include daily, live video instruction M-Th, weekly tutoring opportunities, and access to our Great Hearts curriculum using the online learning platform, Canvas.
This course will begin on June 3rd and run through June 30th, during Session 1 (1 Hour) (9:30-10:30). You can view the session schedule HERE. Please note that all times are listed in Arizona Local Time.

This course is designed to strengthen and solidify the foundational mathematical skills scholars need for success in fifth grade. Students will build fluency with multiplication and division facts while extending that knowledge to multi-digit multiplication and long division. Through careful practice and guided problem-solving, scholars will deepen their understanding of place value and explore the relationship between fractions and decimals. Emphasis is placed on reasoning, accuracy, and clarity as students solve equations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, including problems that require estimation and rounding. By the end of the course, scholars will be better prepared to approach fifth-grade mathematics with confidence, precision, and perseverance.
