Great Hearts Online Summer School is open to all current and incoming Great Hearts students. All summer courses include daily, live video instruction M-Th, weekly tutoring opportunities, and access to our Great Hearts curriculum using the online learning platform, Canvas.
This course will begin on June 3rd and run through June 30th, during Session 1 (8:00AM-10:30 AM). You can view the session schedule HERE. Please note that all times are listed in Arizona Local Time.
Please Note: Once you complete your order, you will receive an email with your receipt and instructions to complete registration through the Jupiter Ed portal. Registration is not complete until you receive confirmation that both payment and the application are complete.

This English II Summer School course provides an accelerated study of literature and composition, strengthening students’ ability to read closely, analyze thoughtfully, and write with clarity and precision. Through the study of poetry, drama, and prose, including significant works from the Western literary tradition, students examine enduring questions of human nature, virtue, justice, and moral responsibility. Through close reading, seminar-style inquiry, and structured analytical writing, scholars develop well-reasoned arguments and deepen their engagement with literature as a means of pursuing Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, preparing them for the intellectual demands of upper-level English courses.
