Great Hearts Online Summer School is open to all current and incoming Great Hearts students. All summer courses include daily, live video instruction M-Th, weekly tutoring opportunities, and access to our Great Hearts curriculum using the online learning platform, Canvas.
This course will begin on June 3rd and run through June 30th, during Session 2 (1 Hour) (11:30-12:30). You can view the session schedule HERE. Please note that all times are listed in Arizona Local Time.

This course is designed to strengthen foundational math skills and prepare scholars for the expectations of third-grade mathematics. Students will build fluency with multiplication and division facts for 1s, 5s, and 10s while developing strong number sense and place value understanding up to the thousands. Scholars will practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, including problems that involve regrouping and remainders. Through guided instruction, students will learn to solve word problems by identifying key information and representing their thinking with simple models. The course also includes practical applications of mathematics, such as counting and adding money and telling and adding time, helping students connect math skills to everyday situations.
